To prepare it, you need to add a glass of hot water to a teaspoon of lavender flowers, then let it stand for five minutes, then pass through a strainer or gauze and drink two or three cups of the resulting composition every day.

Taking lavender inside is prescribed for melancholy, hysteria, neurasthenia and irritability, insomnia, influenza and various infectious diseases, painful sensations in the head, asthma, bronchitis, tuberculosis, whooping cough, enteritis, intestinal parasites, flatulence, atony of the gastrointestinal tract, with leucorrhoea, spasms and rheumatism, atony of the consequences of paralysis, cystitis, scrofula, debility of children, amenorrhea, hypertension, fever, rash, etc.

The recipe for the preparation of the medicine is as follows: you need to add a liter of cool hot water to fifty grams of lavender flowers, put on fire, wait until it boils, and then place in a water bath for ten minutes, then cool, strain, and then add to the bath with a temperature of thirty six to thirty-eight degrees. Next, you should sit or lie down in the water and stay in it for about twenty minutes, after which you quickly go to bed. To get rid of a cough, it is helpful to mix a teaspoon of honey with two drops of lavender oil. The composition also reduces bronchial inflammation.

Lavender is used for treatment on the surface of the body with leucorrhoea, head lice, for tightening wounds (including chancres, ulcers on the hands and feet, gangrenous, infected and syphilitic, etc.), an additional remedy in the treatment of insect bites, animals and snakes, for hair loss, burns, acne, anal, chronic and perineal eczema, lung diseases.

If you have dry eczema, the recipe for the medicine is as follows: half a liter of olive oil must be added to twenty-five grams of lavender flowers and left for a couple of hours in a water bath, then let the product stand until morning, pass through a strainer or gauze and apply as an ointment. The composition should be used within four to six weeks.

For vaginal infections with painful sensations, you need to mix water and flowers at the rate of 25 grams of lavender per liter of water, put in a water bath for ten minutes, add another liter of boiled warm water. The course includes ten to fifteen procedures.

For taking medicinal baths with lavender, use the so-called "milk": take 50 grams of the plant for five liters of water, then leave the composition for sixty minutes, after which it should be used only in the evening. The number of baths taken should be from ten to fifteen per course. Especially such baths are necessary for often ill or weak children, in addition, they soothe in case of insomnia or nervous tension. Baths can be taken alternately with calamus, rosemary, algae or pine.

To remove redness and inflammation from the edges of the eyelids (the disease is also called "blepharitis") use lavender water. To prepare it, mix a liter of thirty-two percent alcohol with sixty grams of fresh lavender flowers, leave for a month, and then filter. It is necessary to apply the medicine to the inflamed eyelids for fourteen days, once or twice a day.

To relieve inflammation from insect bites, it is necessary to prepare a composition of alcohol and lavender oil in a one-to-one ratio and apply to sore spots.

Lavender herb or essential oil can help reduce the negative effects of a snakebite by rubbing them into the bite.
