Inside the IQAir Allergen 100 is a system of two complementary filters.
First, the PreMax F8 filter made of pleated (to increase the cleaning effect) non-woven glass microfiber stands in the way of coarse and fine dust, animal hair, hair particles and other impurities.
Further, the already well-purified air meets the next filter made of non-woven glass fiber, medical grade, which with an efficiency of more than 99.97% retains small particles of contaminants ranging in size from 0.3 microns and more than 99.5% of ultra-fine ones, measuring from 0.003 microns … This filter is a proprietary IQAir design, based on HyperHEPA technology: for highly effective and long-term control of fine dust, suspended particles in the air.
All major allergens are microscopic: fine dust that easily penetrates the lungs and settles there, plant pollen, animal dander, viruses and bacteria, the remains of saprophytes.
And one more important thing about the filters in the IQAir Allergen 100 - they have a large working area, which is almost never found in other household air cleaners (Allergen 100 is a model, including for home use). The first filter, PreMax F8, has 2.8 m 2, while the HyperHEPA has 5 m 2.
The large area of filtering surfaces - almost 8 m 2 in total - allows you to effectively clean the air, avoiding the so-called passage of fine particles through the filters, especially at high fan speeds.
Moreover, such filters work much longer without losing efficiency than small HEPA inserts in other air cleaners: filters in IQAir Allergen 100 will hardly have to be changed more often than once a year (depending on operating conditions).
Fact four: high performance and low noise
The IQAir Allergen 100 has 6 operating speeds. At the minimum per hour, it cleans 50 m 3 of air, and at the maximum - 470 m 3. Given the superior quality of the filters through which the air passes, their large surface area is an excellent opportunity.
If the area of the room is 20 m 2, and the height of the flow is 3 m, there is about 60 m 3 of air in the room (excluding the volume "eaten" by the furniture). At maximum power, IQAir Allergen 100 can run through filters and purify this volume almost 8 times per hour, which means it can be used with an open window.
The first 3 operating speeds are suitable for any time of the day, including at night - the noise from the air cleaner will not interfere with sleep (from 22 dB). And higher speeds are logical to use during the day, to quickly clean the air in the room.
Fact five: simple design and convenient operation
