Botanical characteristics of the cutter
The cutter is a unique biennial plant, the height of which often does not exceed 40 cm. The presented herb has a spherical shape and a cylindrical strongly branched stem. The tripartite leathery leaves have linear-lanceolate finely serrated lobes. Small snow-white flowers captivate with a five-toothed calyx and a five-petalled corolla. They are collected in small complex umbrellas. The fruit is represented by an oblong-linear achene with wide ribs.
The cutter usually blooms from mid-May to late July. He prefers to settle in hills and meadows, as well as in the steppe zone and along roads. Such a plant can be found in many regions of Russia. For medicinal use, the herb is advised to be harvested during flowering.
Useful properties of the cutter
The cutter boasts active ingredients such as essential oil and alkaloids. In addition, the plant's readily soluble anthraglycosides and resins provide the cutter with a powerful laxative effect.
Due to the large amount of tannins, the presented plant has antiseptic and astringent properties, which causes an increase in appetite, stimulation of gastric activity.
Cutter application
To prepare a healing infusion, you need to take 500 ml of ordinary boiling water for 2 tsp. dried herbs. Such a unique mixture should be infused for at least two or more hours. Experts recommend taking such a remedy 10 minutes before meals, 1 tbsp. l. 3 or 4 times a day. With the help of such a drug, you can get rid of stomach pains, as well as normalize the acidity of gastric juice. Along with this, such a remedy has a rather strong diuretic effect on the human body and a powerful hemostatic effect.
To speed up the healing of extensive wounds and abscesses, crushed leaves of this plant can be applied. It should also be noted that the aerial parts of the cutter have long been used for various pickles and marinades, and the seeds of such a wonderful plant can easily replace ordinary cumin.
