The effectiveness of such a solution is due to a radical change in the acid-base balance in the vagina. Like any fungus, Candida prefers an acidic environment. Soda, by and large, can be considered alkali, for this reason, systematic washing and douching during treatment will not allow the fungus to grow and multiply, and after a certain period of time, it will completely destroy its microfibers.

From a physiological point of view, a soda solution allows you to get rid of all the unpleasant symptoms of thrush at home after a few sessions. Thanks to this solution, white cheesy discharge disappears, burning, itching disappears, pain when urinating disappears.

It is worth emphasizing again that just douching and washing is not enough for healing. It is possible to recover from candidiasis only under the supervision of the attending physician with the use of medicinal antifungal, antiseptic and immunosuppressive drugs.

How is the procedure performed?

1. To carry out this procedure at home, you should buy a syringe or Esmarch mug with rubber tubes. All of these items can be purchased at your nearest pharmacy. Before douching, "equipment" should be disinfected with alcohol, and then rinsed with boiled water. Each of the parts in contact with the body should be thoroughly disinfected.

2. After that, a warm solution (it should be prepared in advance) against thrush is drawn into an Esmarch mug or syringe, which is fixed at a height of 75 centimeters above the waist. In order to carry out the procedure, you need from 200 to 300 milliliters of liquid.

3. After that, you should lie on your back, bend your knees and spread them in different directions. To make the entrance of the douche into the vagina more comfortable, the vagina can be treated with lanolin or petroleum jelly. The air remaining there should be released from the syringe tube, and then carefully and slowly introduce it to a depth of 4-7 centimeters into the vagina. Douching should be done very carefully: the stream of solution should not be strong and powerful, otherwise the solution may enter the uterus, which should not be allowed. It must be poured in with such a pressure that 200-300 milliliters of liquid is enough for 15-20 minutes of the procedure.

4. In the next 30 - 40 minutes after infusion of the solution, you should try to move less, it is recommended to spend this period of time in a horizontal position. After this, the vagina should be treated with an antifungal ointment.

5. At the end of the procedure, you should disinfect the syringe from the inside with a weak solution of potassium permanganate, and wipe it outside with alcohol.

Preparing a solution against candidiasis yourself is not a very difficult task. This requires a deep vessel. Stir until the soda grains dissolve in water (this is necessary to provide the best therapeutic effect and prevent damage to the vaginal walls).

To cure candidiasis with a solution of iodine and soda, you should not only wash yourself, but also do medicinal baths. This is implemented as follows: a solution of warm water, soda and iodine (the same recipe) should be poured into a small basin. After that, you need to sit in this basin for at least 15 minutes. Such procedures are quite effective.

You should not stop treatment at the moment as soon as the disturbing symptoms disappear. The procedures should be carried out at least 5 - 6 times, and sometimes longer - until the fibers of the fungus are completely destroyed.

This disease should be treated not only by a woman, but also by a man (sexually transmitted). During the period of treatment, it is better to exclude love meetings. Do not forget that through douching and washing with a soda solution against candidiasis, changes occur in the natural balance of the acid-base environment of the vagina. Even when thrush is cured, an alkaline environment will prevail in the vagina, which is a fertile ground for conceiving a child. So, so to speak, you can kill two birds with one stone.

Many women use baking soda douching as an additional factor in conceiving a child. Soda has such an effect due to the fact that an acidic environment initially predominates in the vagina, while the sperm environment is alkaline. For this reason, many sperm cells die due to the simplest chemical reactions. Baking soda, in turn, makes it easier for the sperm to reach the egg, making the vaginal environment alkaline.

Summing up, I would like to emphasize once again that the implementation of the described procedures should be necessarily coordinated with the attending physician. Despite the high effectiveness of treatment with a soda solution, there are often cases when doctors strictly prohibit douching. The procedure is strictly contraindicated for recently given birth and pregnant women who have erosion or other diseases of the genital organs.
