Treatment of cracked heels with folk remedies and methods
The most effective recipe for cracked heels
This ointment, the recipe for which will be described below, helps even in advanced cases, when cracks in the heels crack to blood. At the same time, you can be sure that over time you will not only have cracks, but that your heels will generally become smooth, as in youth!
To prepare this ointment, you need to take in equal proportions glycerin (pharmacy), vinegar essence, vodka. Mix in equal proportions and lubricate the heels 1-2 times a day. To prevent and maintain the youthfulness of the skin on the heels, just lubricate the heels at night. And you will definitely be surprised at the effect!
Treatment of cracked heels with honey
A good folk recipe that has long been helping people to heal cracked heels is a honey compress. Before going to bed, a layer of honey of medium thickness is applied to the heels, covered with cellophane on top and a cotton sock is put on the leg. In the morning, the rest of the honey is wiped off with a sponge. The course of treatment is four days. Spruce resin can be used in a similar way.
Gruel made from grated apple or onion has a strong healing effect. If you apply it daily to your heels, wrapping it with a dense cloth on top, you can quickly get rid of fine cracks and notches. It is also recommended to use zinc ointment for treatment. Even two treatments will be enough to quickly heal cracked heels.
Treatment of cracked heels with potatoes
Use a potato-based folk remedy to treat cracked heels. A few medium-sized tubers must be boiled in their uniforms and drained, leaving only a quarter of the original volume. After that, the potatoes are pounded directly in the remaining water and the hot liquid is poured into a basin, diluted with cool water and mixed with soda (1 tablespoon). In the resulting mixture, you need to steam your legs. The duration of the procedure is 5 minutes, and at the end of it you need to gently and easily rub your feet and heels with a pumice stone, rinse your feet and dry them thoroughly. After the bath, a greasy cream or ointment based on petroleum jelly is applied to the heels, after a few minutes the residues are removed with a napkin and socks are put on. The procedure is best done at night.
Treatment of cracked heels with alcohol
There are many alcohol-based folk remedies that can help the cracked heels heal faster. For example, you can lubricate the skin with a mixture of alcohol (2 parts), glycerin and vinegar essence (3 parts each).
You can also mix glycerin with ammonia. The components are taken in equal amounts and mixed well. Before applying the resulting ointment, it is recommended to steam your feet in a solution of potassium permanganate and wait until they dry on their own. Apply a thin layer of ointment. It promotes the convergence of the hardened layers of the skin and its softening.
Folk healers recommend making lotions from vodka to the heels: soak cotton pads or small pieces of linen cloth in vodka, attach them to the heels and leave them overnight, wrapping them with a bandage and putting on socks. In the morning, remove the flaky layer of skin and anoint your feet with petroleum jelly or greasy cream.
It is also useful to make foot baths from white wine, diluting it with hot water in a ratio of one to three. This recipe will help you easily brush off flaky, rough skin.
You can also lubricate cracked heels with an ointment of glycerin and vinegar, mixing them equally.
Treat cracked heels with oatmeal
Oatmeal is good for not only the stomach, but also for sore, cracked heels. Boil a small amount of cereal, mix it with vegetable oil (5 tablespoons) and put the porridge in two bags that will not leak. Place your feet in these bags, secure them and wrap them in warm scarves. Then lie down and rest for a couple of hours: during the procedure, it is undesirable (and uncomfortable) to walk. After the procedure, you need to rinse your feet in warm water and pat dry with a towel or napkin. When the feet are completely dry, lubricate the heels with petroleum jelly or greasy cream. The course of treatment is one week, and you can forget about cracked heels.
It is also recommended to make hot compresses from the steamed roots of elecampane for a quick recovery. They are thoroughly washed, soaked in boiling water and applied to the feet, wrapping them on top with oilcloth and a scarf.
