Useful properties of lyubka
Lyubka belongs to the herbaceous plants of the orchid family. Its habitats are forests with a mixed type of vegetation, pine forests, meadows with moist soil in the European part of Russia, in the south of Siberia. In folk medicine, the roots of a plant are used, consisting of several large tubers, called salep. They are dug out at the end of flowering, dried in dark rooms.
The chemical composition of the roots includes mucus (mannan), it has an anti-inflammatory, enveloping effect in various diseases. In addition, due to the presence of starch, protein substances, sugar, mineral salts, bitter substances, essential oil and the content of calcium oxalate, tubers have tonic and restorative properties. The plant has also been noted to have a diuretic effect, which helps lower blood pressure.
Application of lubka
Lubka two-leaved root tubers can be used for enterocolitis, intestinal and uterine bleeding. The cleansing effect with their help is useful in case of poisoning with various toxic substances, any kind is also well suited for nourishing the body with exhaustion, which is observed after an illness (cold, flu). The enveloping properties help relieve pain, normalize the work of the gastrointestinal tract, and prevent the absorption of toxic substances into the mucous membrane of important organs.
Powder from the roots is used internally, diluted in a ratio of 1:20 or 1:40 with water, or a decoction is boiled and administered by means of enemas. To form mucus, the raw material is mixed with water or milk in a ratio of 1:10 and shaken well until a homogeneous mixture is obtained. Traditional medicine in practice has proven the excellent effect of lyubka for the treatment of impotence. The anticonvulsant property of the plant can be used for indigestion, diarrhea, and inflammation of the bladder. The broth helps to cure tuberculosis.
Infusion of lyubka: 30 g of tubers should be poured with 0.5 liters of wine, insist and consume 1 tablespoon 3 times a day.
You can soften the tubers by boiling them in milk and use them for external use.
Lyubka is two-leaved
Two-leaved Lyubka has been growing in the same place for many years, its tubers are ovoid-oval in shape, growing every year. The plant has a fragrant aroma, it is called the northern orchid. This species requires protection, it is on the list of the rarest herbs, so its harvesting is limited or completely prohibited. Attempts by gardeners to breed lyubka on their plots have not yielded results. When transplanted from the forest, a forest dweller does not take root at home. Healing tubers are used to treat female diseases, coughs.
