It is indicated for whooping cough, bronchitis, liver disease, jaundice, anemia, painful periods, intestinal problems, and asthma. Shandra is effective for fever, skin rashes, inflammation of the lymph nodes, inflammation of the bladder, hemorrhoids.
Such a plant is able to increase appetite and have a calming effect on the human body. In addition, the bitterness contained in this plant enhances the secretion of bile and the secretion of gastric juice. Essential oils have expectorant properties due to the presence of marrubin.
Shandra application
In folk medicine, such a plant is prescribed for arrhythmias and heart weakness. Shandra is indicated for indomitable diarrhea. Healing herbal decoction is used against children's skin rashes. To prepare it, you will need 2 teaspoons of chopped herbs, which must be poured with one glass of cool water. In a dark place, the product is kept for about 4 hours. This is the daily norm.
To make an excellent cough syrup, take 100 grams of raw material, add 300 grams of water and cook for about 30 minutes. Then we filter the composition and mix with 500 grams of sugar. To prepare a healthy herbal tea, pour 2 teaspoons of the herb with 250 ml of boiling water. We let the product brew for about 10 minutes, after which we filter it well. Shandra vulgaris is a perennial plant about 50 cm high. The tetrahedral stem of the plant is hollow inside and has a rather dense tomentose pubescence. On the stem are rounded leaves with a crenate-toothed edge. In the axils of the leaves, small white flowers are visible, which are represented by dense false whorls. The bloom of the common shandra can be observed from June to September. The plant lives almost everywhere in Europe, it is found in Central Asia, North Africa, western China and Pakistan. This species grows with pleasure on rocky outcrops.
