Botanical characteristics of the string
The succession is an annual plant that belongs to the Asteraceae family. The string does not grow above 1 meter in height. The root of the plant is thin and taped, but well branched. On a single straight red stem, opposite leaves are located on short petioles. The flowers of the plant are colored dirty yellow, tubular. All flowers, several pieces, are collected in inflorescences - baskets, which are located at the top of the stem. The fruit of the sequence is a flattened achene with serrated awns. Awns are hairs that cling to the fur of any animal. Thanks to the awns, the plant spreads over long distances.
The plant blooms from mid-summer to early September. September-October is the ripening period for the fruits of the string. The sequence is found throughout Ukraine and Russia, in the Caucasus, Siberia and the Far East. This plant prefers to grow on the shores of lakes, rivers and streams. Also, the succession grows well in swamps and fields.
Cultivation and reproduction of a series
The train loves moisture and a temperate climate. If seeds are sown in the field, they will germinate slowly. If the seeds are sown in the spring, then before sowing they must be stratified for three weeks. One day before sowing the seeds, it is necessary to apply organic and potash fertilizers to the soil.
The series grows best on light sandy loam or loamy soil. During the growing season, it is necessary to do weeding and loosening of the soil.
After 2-3 weeks after sowing the seeds, when shoots appear, it is necessary to start monitoring the soil, since the weeds drown out the sequence and prevent it from developing. Timely removal of weeds is the first rule of rapid growth in a string.
Useful properties of the string
The string has diaphoretic and diuretic properties. The herb of the plant helps to normalize metabolism. In addition, the train improves the digestion processes in the body. The beneficial substances contained in the plant have a positive effect on hematopoiesis and blood clotting.
The string has anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic properties. It is recommended to use it for skin diseases and bleeding. The plant is used as a blood pressure lowering agent. In addition, the string has a good effect in the treatment of spleen diseases, bronchitis, liver diseases and diabetes mellitus.
Sequence application
In folk medicine, the herb and the leaves of the string are used in order to prepare various decoctions and infusions for use not only internally, but also externally. The series is used in the treatment of osteochondrosis, rheumatism, diabetes, skin diseases and malignant tumors. The decoction of the series is used externally for taking baths with furunculosis, ulcers, wounds and diathesis. The decoction is also used for washing in the treatment of arthritis, gout, and rickets. Fresh leaves of the plant are applied to wounds and ulcers.
A series of treats fear in children, bathing them in a bath from a series. In addition to taking baths, the kids are also allowed to drink a warm decoction from the plant every day. The string is used against insect and snake bites as an antidote. In addition, it is included in the composition of many fees for the treatment of diseases and ailments of varying complexity.
Tincture from a series is used as a means that improves appetite, normalizes metabolism. The infusion of a series is used for scrofula, psoriasis and scabies.
Infusion of a series. Prepare it as follows: take a series of grass in the amount of three teaspoons and pour 1 liter of boiling water. The composition is left to brew for 12 hours, after that it is filtered and taken 70-100 ml three times a day before meals. If the infusion is given to children, then you can add a little honey.
Tincture of a string for appetite. Take the herb of a string and grind it, pour 20 grams of finished raw materials with 100 ml of vodka. Leave the product to brew for 2 weeks, shaking occasionally. Having filtered the finished tincture, it can be applied before meals.
Infusion of a series with lingonberry leaves for furunculosis. We take 1 teaspoon of herb of a string and lingonberry leaves. Now pour 200 ml of boiling water into the mixture. Leave it for 1 hour, then filter it. We take a ready-made infusion of 50 ml no more than four times a day for 14 days.
Contraindications to the use of the sequence
Children should not use drugs from the series for a long time, as this will only harm the child. It is necessary to use the sequence only under the supervision of a physician or very carefully and in small doses.
