Repelling mosquitoes:

• Traditional medicine recommends lubricating the skin with fish oil to treat bites. It can also ward off mosquitoes, preventing unpleasant moments.
• Clove oil mixed with cologne in a ratio of 1:10 will also be a good "barrier" for annoying insects.
• For the same purposes, it is recommended to use table vinegar mixed with wormwood juice, or juice squeezed from poppy heads.

For itching and blistering:

• To eliminate itching and blisters from mosquito bites, use a medicinal collection that includes peppermint leaves, young oak bark, flowers and leaves of St. John's wort. An equal amount of components is poured with water (200 ml) and boiled for 15 minutes over low heat. Then the broth is chilled, filtered and lotions are made from it.
• A simple and effective recipe is also a baking soda solution (one teaspoon per glass of boiled water). If you lubricate the bite sites with this agent, redness and itching will disappear.

• It is also recommended to lubricate the affected areas with an aqueous solution of ammonia (20 ml of alcohol per 100 ml of water), vodka and cologne.

Treatment for wasp and bee stings

It is almost impossible to prevent a bee sting with the help of folk remedies. The likelihood of an attack by bees is much lower if, when meeting with single insects or their whole swarm, you do not make sharp fussy movements. Everything should be calm. Simply, there is no need to provoke them, no matter what they do. Waving your arms around is guaranteed to make the bee angry. The bite of one of them starts a chain reaction, and thus, a person gets stings from several more bees.

The wasp sting is quite painful. A sharp burning pain persists for a long time: depending on the reaction of the body - from a couple of hours to several days. If a person is not allergic to wasp and bee stings, treatment does not require medical intervention. A person can help themselves on their own by following a series of simple steps:

1. Gently remove the sting with your fingernail if it remains in the wound. It is not worth squeezing out the sting - this way the poison can spread further than the bite site.
2. Wash the affected area with soap and water
3. Apply a piece of ice or cold lotion to it.
4. Remember, if you experience allergic reactions (rashes, weakness, difficulty breathing, swelling of the throat or mouth), you should immediately consult a doctor!

Redness, burning and pain after stings of wasps and bees can be removed with various folk remedies:

• Juice made from fresh parsley leaves works well for this. Its leaves must be thoroughly washed and then crushed until juice appears. Parsley is applied to the bite and wrapped in a bandage or other soft cloth. Change leaves every two to three hours until the pain subsides.
• Some doctors recommend lubricating wounds with earwax or urine: this relieves pain and eliminates swelling.
• Fresh yarrow and plantain leaves are good folk remedies. They are washed in cold water, crushed, wrapped in a bandage and applied to the bite site. You need to repeat the procedure after a couple of hours.
• It is useful to lubricate the site of a bee sting with cool olive oil, apply fresh bay leaves or crushed onions to the inflamed area.
• Aloe leaves also have anti-inflammatory effects. Rinse them well, remove the top layer from the leaves and apply the pulp to the bite site.

• For lotions, you can also use a healing decoction of tansy. The inflorescences of the plant are dried, two tablespoons are poured with water and boiled for no more than 15 minutes. Cool and strain the broth before use.
• It is also helpful to apply washed dandelion roots to the affected area several times a day.

Folk remedies for tick bites

Tick bites are the lot of the spring-autumn and summer time. When planning a stay in nature, where there is a deciduous forest, in no case should you forget about the possibility of an attack by these blood-sucking animals.

You can prevent their attack using the following methods:

1. The use of closed clothing with long sleeves. It can be light, but it should cover the skin, preventing direct contact with the mite;
2. Manufactured or homemade clove essential oil. It can be made by insisting two dozen dry clove buds in two tablespoons of any vegetable oil for two weeks;
3. A blend of several aromatic oils. It can be rosemary, clove, mint, eucalyptus and fir oil. You don't have to use all of them. It is enough to connect 3 components;
4. Balm "Star".

Regardless of which tick repellant is chosen, it is applied to exposed areas of the skin, through which, most often, primary contact with the tick occurs. These are the hands and wrists, the neck, the ankle region of the legs. Do not put them on your face. Be sure to cover your body with clothing as much as possible. After staying in the forest, it is advisable to take a shower and examine the entire surface of the skin.

If it was not possible to avoid the attack of the tick, it is necessary, as soon as possible, to apply simple methods of extracting it. For these purposes, the following techniques are suitable:

1. Any vegetable oil (sunflower, olive, sea buckthorn) is poured into an ordinary plastic bottle cap. After that, it is turned over and installed on the skin surface in the area of the tick. The meaning of this measure is that in conditions of impaired oxygen access, the tick itself must stop further penetration into the skin. At the same time, he either simply suffocates, after which it is easier to remove it, or completely leaves the wound;
2. Lubrication of the outside of the mite above the skin surface with any vegetable oil. This method is quite effective, because, like the previous one, it blocks the respiration of the tick. After all, its respiratory ducts are located precisely in the outer part;
3. Applying wax. To apply it, light a candle until melted wax is obtained, with which the skin with a mite is buried. The principle of this method is the same as the previous ones;
4. Direct extraction of the tick with tweezers. For these purposes, tweezers with tips concave inward are suitable. The tick is captured as close to the surface of the skin as possible and removed with firm rotating movements counterclockwise or counterclockwise. After removing the tick, the wound is treated with one of the antiseptics: alcohol, iodine, peroxide or brilliant green;
5. Removing a tick with a thread. To do this, his body near the skin bite is tied with a thread, but not tightly so as not to damage the tick. It is removed by oscillating movements to the sides by alternately pulling on each end of the thread;

Before removing a tick, it is extremely important to assess the depth of its penetration. If the head is completely in the skin, do not remove it yourself. You can use one of the described methods of neutralizing it and be sure to seek medical help.

Folk remedies for midge bites

The midge belongs to such insects, which are very difficult to scare away with the help of even the most modern store means, and to prevent a bite. Folk remedies are also ineffective. It is impossible to name specific components that would really protect against attack by midges.

It is possible and necessary to drip various essential aromatic oils onto open areas of the skin before going to places with natural conditions. This will help protect against other insects (mint, geranium, eucalyptus, cloves, rosemary, etc.). The midge attacks so quickly that 2-3 seconds are enough to get a bite. Therefore, all that remains is to deal with the bites already received.

For such purposes, improvised means are well suited, which, for sure, every vacationer will find:

1. Applying a cold object to the bitten area;
2. Squeezing damaged areas;
3. Washing the skin with cold water with laundry or toilet soap;
4. Treatment of bitten areas with alcohol or vodka. It will be even better if you apply a wet-drying vodka compress to the affected area;
5. Washing or wiping the skin abundantly with a concentrated soda solution or a mushy mass;
6. Attaching a well-ground plantain leaf;
7. Lemon juice or thin lemon petal;
8. Concentrated salt solution in the form of a lotion;

Folk remedies for dog bites

Although a dog's saliva has extremely high antibacterial and antiseptic properties, its mouth is filled with hundreds of types of pathogenic microorganisms. Especially, there are a lot of them on the teeth. Preventing a dog bite is difficult. But there are rules that must be followed. The main thing is not to run away if you are not sure that it will be done and the dog will not catch up. Otherwise, any sudden movement will only anger the dog and provoke even more aggression. Only calm demeanor can minimize the amount of possible injury.

If the injury could not be avoided, then folk remedies for a dog bite can help:

1. Abundant washing of wounds with water and laundry soap;
2. Treatment of bitten areas with a weak solution of potassium permanganate;
3. Lotions from a salt solution. To obtain it, boiled water is used. A tablespoon of ordinary table salt is dissolved in one liter of it;
4. Lotions based on honey and bee products. Propolis-alcohol tincture helps well. In order not to cause a strong burning sensation in wounds, it can be slightly diluted with water;
5. Healing mass of onions, garlic and salt. It is applied only to point wounds against the background of skin edema. Do not use it for large open damage;
6. The wound surface must be treated with hydrogen peroxide;
7. A mixture of chopped nettle and salt. The proportion is not critical. The main thing is to get a homogeneous gruel.

In no case should you use the listed methods for deep wounds with possible signs of damage to deep tissues. In any case, it is better to go to the hospital, where they will decide on the prevention of tetanus and rabies.

Spider Bite Treatments

In our latitudes, there are karakurt and tarantulas, whose poison can harm a person. With a bite of a karakurt, a rapidly growing pain usually appears, an intoxication of the body occurs: body temperature and blood pressure rise, and severe weakness appears. Sometimes a karakurt bite can be fatal.

To avoid trouble, it is necessary to provide the victim with first aid:

1. Apply a tourniquet above the bite to avoid spreading the poison;
2. To suck out the poison, use ordinary cans that are used for colds and flu;
3. After removing the blood-sucking jar, apply cold to the wound (a bag of ice or cold water).

After that, you need to take the victim to a doctor, where he will be injected with a special serum with an antidote. A person who has suffered a bite of karakurt should be provided with an abundant drink. It is also useful for him to take hot baths.

Tarantulas living in our latitudes are not very poisonous. The pain of their sting is similar to that of a wasp or bee. There is slight swelling in the affected area, weakness and fever may appear. The victim is recommended to be shown to the doctor. To relieve pain, he will be given a lotion with a solution of magnesium sulfate.

Scorpion sting treatment

Scorpion bites can be very dangerous. A large swelling quickly appears at the site of the bite, the person is worried about pain, chills, weakness, convulsions appear, breathing is disturbed, nausea and vomiting may occur. First aid: Apply a tourniquet above the bite site. Blood from the wound can be sucked off with a jar or mouth (provided that there are no wounds or ulcers in the person's mouth). Then the bite is washed with ammonia, ice and cold lotions are applied to the affected area. The victim should be provided with an abundant hot drink. It is necessary to take the stung person to the hospital as soon as possible, where he will be injected with an anti-scorpion serum. You can also apply crushed dandelion herb to the site of the scorpion bite. It is recommended to give the victim several times a day a couple of drops of ammonia diluted in strong tea.
