Treatment of keratitis by traditional methods can be combined with preparations prepared according to recipes of traditional medicine. Folk remedies are recommended to be used after consulting a doctor, when the patient has already been diagnosed.

Sea buckthorn oil. Sea buckthorn oil quickly eliminates the symptoms of keratitis - photophobia and pain. In the first days, 1-2 drops are instilled every hour, and then after three hours. Even in advanced cases, a good effect is achieved.

In patients with burns, sea buckthorn oil, which is widely used in folk medicine to treat keratitis, significantly improves visual acuity.

Celandine juice. The juice of the herb of celandine must be squeezed out, mixed in a ratio of 1: 3 with an aqueous extract of propolis and instilled into the eyes at night, 2-3 drops in case of suppuration, accompanied by the formation of a thorn. If there is pronounced irritation, tingling, then a little more aqueous propolis extract should be added to the resulting drops.

Aloe juice. Cut off a couple of large leaves of aloe (the plant must be at least three years old), wrap in paper and put in the refrigerator for 7-10 days. After that, squeeze the juice, filter and pour into a glass vial, adding 1 grain (with a wheat grain) mummy. Instill 1 drop in both eyes once a day. From the second month of treatment, you can use one pure juice, without mummy.

Recipe 1. It is useful to alternately apply clay lotions on the back of the head, forehead and eyes. A layer of clay 2-3 cm thick should be applied to the napkin. The clay should be thick, smooth and dense, not spread. Then you need to wipe the place for the compress with a wet napkin and apply the clay for 1.5 hours. It is recommended to put clay water compresses forever. As a rule, two or three lotions a day are enough.

Recipe 2. Traditional medicine recommends using droplets of liquid that form on a glass in hot rye bread for the treatment of keratitis. In freshly baked rye bread, it is necessary to make a depression, put a glass tightly upside down in it. The drops formed on the walls of the glass should be collected and instilled into the eyes daily.

Recipe 3. This method is effective: daily apply tampons to the eyes, moistened alternately with hot and cold water. Take two pieces of cloth - one for cold water, the other for hot. Cold water should be ice cold; tampons should be kept for 1 minute. Tampons with hot water must be applied for 2 minutes. Start five times and gradually bring to 10, that is, apply a cold swab 10 times and a hot swab 10 times.

Woodlice. Infusion of wood lice (medium star), according to one of the recipes of traditional medicine, in the treatment of keratitis, it is necessary to instill in the eyes if there is a clouding of the cornea.

Propolis. For viral (herpetic) keratitis, burns and corneal injuries, it is useful to instill 1 drop of 1% aqueous propolis extract in the eyes 4-10 times a day. The use of the drug quickly reduces pain, photophobia, lacrimation. For glaucoma and cataracts, the course of treatment is 4-6 weeks. After a break, the course can be repeated.
