For cholecystitis, those foods that tend to lower cholesterol levels are most useful. This substance leads to the formation of stones in the gallbladder and blockage of the flow of bile. This situation provokes an inflammatory process, therefore it is necessary to eat foods that have anti-inflammatory properties. Among them, plantain seeds, which are popularly called flea seeds or fleas, occupy a special place.

According to research by scientists at the University of Massachusetts, this herbal remedy can dramatically reduce the likelihood of gallstones. Such striking properties are associated with the fact that plantain seeds contain an abundance of readily soluble fiber, which, by its appearance, effectively reduces the concentration of cholesterol in this particular organ. Flea seed can be added to any meal, the recommended dose is about 4 tablespoons a day.

An infusion of plantain leaves is famous for its good choleretic properties.

Despite the positive medicinal properties, some people should refuse to use this plant or consult a doctor before starting treatment. This category includes those suffering from stomach diseases, accompanied by high acidity, and patients who have a tendency to form blood clots.

Oil for cholecystitis

For gallbladder inflammation, various types of oils can be included in the diet. Vegetable fats are abundant in easy-to-digest fats, which can stimulate the excretion of excess bile from the body. Preference should be given to unrefined products, the richest in useful components. An important point is the way of using these products: they are added only to ready-made dishes, avoiding heating, ensuring the preservation of the healing properties, in addition, they are used as a dressing for salads. The daily intake of vegetable oils is about 30 ml., Divided into several doses (for calculous cholecystitis) or 50 ml. (if inflammation of the gallbladder is not accompanied by the formation of stones).

It is also recommended to consume about 20 g of butter daily, a source of animal fats, which are needed in small amounts by every body. And the vitamins, acids and other useful substances included in this product will help to maintain the normal functioning of internal organs and systems.

Olive oil

Olive oil is the most preferred of the analogues. It contains numerous organic acids, vitamins (in particular A, K, E, D), phenols, and unsaturated fatty acids.

Olive oil has a pronounced choleretic property, therefore, at certain stages of cholecystitis, it can be prohibited for use, but in general it serves as an excellent prophylactic against bile stagnation and the subsequent inflammatory process. In addition, olive oil can lower cholesterol levels, thereby preventing the formation of stones. It has a mild laxative effect that has a beneficial effect on the functioning of the digestive system as a whole.

This product can be used to prepare any kind of food, the main thing is not to overheat it too aggressively. Its consumption per day should not exceed 2 tablespoons.

Olive oil is used as a medicinal substance for tubazh (probeless drainage) - washing the gallbladder, which facilitates cholecystitis. This procedure is carried out during the period of remission and in the absence of an elevated temperature.

The most beneficial is olive oil of the very first cold pressed, which has a delicate greenish-yellow color, a bright olive flavor and a pleasant aroma.

Linseed oil

Flaxseed oil is a storehouse of Omega-3, Omega-6 and many other unsaturated fatty acids, the content of which exceeds their concentration even in fish oil. Potassium with vitamins F, E, B, A strengthens the body and lowers cholesterol. Flaxseed oil is able to normalize hormones.

With cholecystitis, it is consumed exclusively at the time of eating. But for people with gallstone disease, pancreatitis, low blood clotting, female diseases, suffering from bleeding, the use of flaxseed oil should be agreed with a doctor.

Sea buckthorn oil has a unique spectrum of medicinal properties, which are due to the biologically active substances that make up this product - tocopherols, phospholipids, phytosterols, organic acids, amino acids, vitamins and minerals, as well as carotenoids. The palmitoleic and palmitic fatty acids contained in it are of particular value.

For patients with cholecystitis, sea buckthorn oil is of interest as a substance that normalizes cholesterol production, relieves inflammation of the mucous membranes and accelerates regeneration processes. But during the period of the acute course of the disease, it is forbidden to use this agent inside. Contraindications to the use of oil are also hepatitis, stomach upset, urolithiasis, diarrhea. Before using the product, you should consult with your doctor and check for an allergic reaction to it from the body.

Vegetable oil

Vegetable oil of corn and sunflower are known stimulants of bile secretion, which can have both positive and negative assessments in case of cholecystitis. For example, when stones have already formed in the gallbladder, the high activity of the biliary tract can provoke biliary colic if the calculus blocks the passage and hinders the outflow of bile. Therefore, with calculous cholecystitis, any vegetable oils are used with caution.

Milk thistle oil

Milk thistle oil safely and very effectively copes with a number of problems that are associated with the peculiarities of the course of cholecystitis, in particular, relieves spasm of smooth muscles, improves the production and accelerates the excretion of bile, removes the inflammatory process, fights against protozoa and microbes that provoke disease, helps to get rid of stones.

Among the well-known and widely available plants, it is worth noting calendula officinalis, which is also capable of having a beneficial effect on the liver.

  • cholekinetics (bile is expelled by increasing the tone of the biliary tract and gallbladder).

Each of the types has features in its application. So, in the presence of stones in the gallbladder and dyskinesia of the biliary tract of the hypertensive type, only choleretics are used. The use of cholekinetics can provoke an increase in pain syndrome and an attack of hepatic colic. But with non-calculous cholecystitis, accompanied by atony of the gallbladder, and atonic dyskinesia of the biliary tract, cholekinetics are more in demand and effective.
