Allergy to the skin occurs when the body is exposed to an allergen, which can be both certain foods and external irritants such as animal hair, pollen, chemical detergents. Allergies can manifest themselves in different ways, but most often they are accompanied by a reddish rash on the skin. This becomes the cause of considerable trouble, therefore, if an allergy appears on the skin, it is necessary to immediately start treatment. How to recognize that skin lesions are allergic?
The manifestation of skin allergies
The first sign of allergy is the appearance of a characteristic rash on the skin, and it can occur anywhere. It is possible to damage both only a small area of the skin and the whole body. An allergic rash is characterized in most cases by the suddenness and rapidity of spread. The affected areas are usually itchy, there is a strong burning sensation. Over time, their peeling and swelling of the mucous membranes can be observed. The inflammations become oozing.
Types of skin allergies
Among the most common types of allergic rashes mentioned are urticaria, eczema, atopic dermatitis and neurodermatitis. Urticaria is characterized by the covering of the skin with multiple blisters that resemble nettle burns. They cause severe itching, giving the patient a lot of anxiety. Blisters can grow into incredibly large plaques. If the mucous membranes of the nasopharynx are significantly affected, the deterioration of the condition can reach dangerous attacks of suffocation.
Eczema can be recognized by rough, rough and at the same time red spots that appear on the skin. They also cause severe itching, and over time, the rash opens up, forming erosions on the skin, which begin to get wet, peel off. Eczematous foci can develop quite quickly. In most cases, eczema affects the face and hands, but it can also appear on other areas of the skin.
Atopic dermatitis occurs from contact with certain allergens in people who are hypersensitive to them. In this case, a kind of vesicles are formed on the skin, causing burning, itching and even pain. Severe cases are characterized by the formation of the typical blistering water. If any infection gets into the affected area, pyoderma may develop.
With neurodermatitis, papular rashes appear, prone to fusion and causing itching, which intensifies in the evening. The skin becomes very dry and rough. The plaques are located mainly on the neck, in the popliteal and elbow fossa, near the anus. Neurodermatitis is limited, characterized by the appearance of rashes only in some parts of the body, and diffuse, when the lesions are very extensive.
Skin Allergic Foods
Allergic skin reactions in children can be caused by eating eggs, cow's milk, soy, wheat, citrus fruits, honey, and certain types of fish. But because of this, you should not completely exclude all of them from the diet, since they contain a lot of nutrients necessary for a growing body.
It is recommended to give the child allergenic foods in small amounts or one at a time in order to identify what exactly his body does not perceive. Childhood food allergies usually resolve over time.
In an adult, allergic skin reactions can be triggered by all kinds of seafood, some types of nuts, citrus fruits, strawberries, red apples, peaches, parsley, beef, pork, celery, potatoes. In addition, foods such as eggs, honey, coffee, mustard, melon, and cow's milk are highly allergenic. Sometimes allergies appear due to certain components of the sauce, gravy, pasta, sausages and desserts containing dyes and preservatives.
Herbs for skin allergies
Skin allergies can be treated with various herbs. In folk medicine, herbal preparations, decoctions, alcoholic tinctures are used for this. Usually simple lotions and baths are made of them. The combination of these methods with modern internal medicines gives excellent results.
Baths with a decoction of ordinary lavrushka are good for children against skin manifestations of allergies. After them, zinc ointment is applied to the site of the rash for quick healing. To dry oozing skin with atopic dermatitis, you can use trays with a series, St. John's wort, calendula, chamomile, wild rosemary, elecampane, korostavnik. Cabbage brine copes well with itching if you apply it daily to existing redness. Allergic urticaria is well treated with celery juice.
You can get rid of allergies once and for all by replacing tea and coffee with the usual infusion of a series for a couple of years. This requires the infusion to be fresh and golden in color. Pure herb, collected by yourself, rather than bought from a pharmacy, works best.
If the allergy is already quite neglected, tincture of ivan-da-marya helps well. It has a wound healing effect, soothes inflammation. This herb is found almost all over Russia, so it will not be difficult to find it.
Thus, for the treatment of skin allergies, you can use not only traditional methods, but also traditional medicine. The main thing is to know exactly which herbs help from which diseases. With the correct use of traditional medicine, the results of such treatment will appear soon.
