An adult will need about five liters of water (boiled, but not hot) to wash the stomach.
One of the following compounds dissolves in it:
- Two tablespoons of salt (this solution causes a spasm of the sphincter of the stomach and prevents toxins from moving further);
- Several grains of potassium permanganate, namely enough so that the water acquires a light pink hue (the solution helps to bind toxins, has antimicrobial and antiseptic effects);
- Two tablespoons of baking soda;
- Five tablespoons of powdered activated carbon (binds toxins and prevents them from entering the bloodstream).
After the solution is ready, it is necessary to either lay the patient on his side (place his head below the body), or sit down. The loan is forced to drink about 500 ml at a time, after which he needs to provoke vomiting. To do this, a person should press on the root of the tongue. The procedure is repeated until the water leaving the stomach is clear. As a rule, flushing helps prevent further vomiting and improves the patient's well-being. Special antiemetics are not taken in case of poisoning.
How to stop vomiting during motion sickness?
If vomiting is caused by seasickness, or occurs during motion sickness in a moving vehicle, then it is possible to use special antiemetic drugs.

So, with vomiting caused by toxicosis, it is possible to use the combined preparation Aeron. - Strictly observe the drinking regime. Both the child and the adult should drink, even if he does not want to.
- Oral rehydration is always indicated after vomiting. It is best to use special preparations for this purpose, for example, Regidron, Oralit, etc.
- You can prepare a saline solution yourself, for this you need a teaspoon of salt, 4 teaspoons of sugar per liter of boiled water, you can add half a teaspoon of soda.
- The solution should be at room temperature. It is drunk in small sips, every 10 minutes.
- One-time intake of large amounts of water can provoke a second attack of vomiting.
When signs of dehydration are weak or absent altogether, and vomiting has completely stopped, then you can offer the patient berry jelly, sweet warm tea, fruit drink.
