Treatment of periodontitis with folk remedies
Periodontitis is a dental disease accompanied by acute or chronic inflammation of the gum tissue around the tooth root. The onset and development of the disease is most often promoted by untreated caries. With further aggravation of periodontitis, the tooth can be very painful, turn to the sides and bend over. Patients have a feeling of a "protruding" tooth, when a sharp pain arises when pressing on it.
Surgical intervention and taking antibiotics are considered traditional methods of treating periodontitis, however, there are some folk recipes that can reduce pain in the tooth before visiting a doctor.
Treatment of toothache with periodontitis with plantain root
An excellent folk remedy for relieving toothache is such a medicinal plant as plantain. If you chew on its root, stem or leaf, the toothache will temporarily stop. For the same purposes, you can use an infusion of plantain leaves. Swollen gums will stop hurting if you apply fresh plant leaves to them.

So, take 0.5 cups of finely chopped calamus roots and fill them with 0.5 liters of vodka, insist in a dark place for at least a week. Similarly, a tincture of propolis is prepared, for which 10-20 g of crushed propolis is poured into 0.5 liters of vodka. After the medicines are ready, by 1 tbsp. add 1 teaspoon of propolis tincture to a spoonful of calamus tincture, rinse the sore tooth with the mixture for 1-3 minutes and spit it out.
Such procedures are recommended for at least a month, before bedtime or when a tooth hurts, since calamus has the ability to anesthetize, and propolis fills all cracks in the tooth. Of course, infusions will not cure tooth decay or periodontitis, and you cannot do without a visit to the dentist, but this is a very effective folk remedy.

Note on the treatment of periodontitis with folk remedies
Using the above folk recipes, do not forget that they will not replace qualified dental care for periodontitis. They are only intended to temporarily relieve pain while waiting for a visit to the doctor. As you know, the treatment of periodontitis is carried out more radically, therefore, folk methods in this case cannot compete with traditional medicine. In order to avoid possible complications, do not delay the visit to the doctor.
