Fibroadenoma is called a tumor, which is characterized by clear contours, it is easily palpable, shifts to the sides, has a certain elasticity and density. Contains glandular tissue. The tumor occurs in men on the chest rarely, painless when feeling.

Normal fibroadenoma does not harm the body, it does not contain cancer cells. Dangerous to health, and sometimes to life, is the leaf-shaped form of fibroadenoma, which has the structure corresponding to the name. This tumor is characterized by rapid growth and degeneration into a malignant tumor.

Aging is one of the main risk factors for cancer, with the average age of men exposed to the disease being 65. Possible causes of breast cancer include the consequences of radiation therapy for lymphogranulomatosis, heredity, and the presence of an additional X chromosome in men. Such men have low levels of male sex hormones.

The liver performs an important job in the metabolism of sex hormones, therefore, diseases of this organ contribute to the development of breast fibroadenoma. Being overweight also causes this abnormal tissue transformation.

The detection of fibroadenoma occurs in most cases by the patients themselves; after contacting a medical institution, it is already possible to establish a diagnosis for sure. The sooner changes are detected in the breast tissue, the easier and more effective the treatment.

Fibroadenoma in the area of the prostate

Men also suffer from a tumor in the area of the prostate gland. This is a glandular tumor, which is also called adenoma. Fibroadenoma of the prostate is a consequence of hormonal disorders, an increase in the level of female sex hormones. Perhaps this disease is associated with heredity, inflammation and trauma to the organs of the genitourinary system.

There is a violation of blood circulation, since the adenoma, expanding, squeezes the urethra and as a result, the lumen narrows. It is believed that congestion occurs with irregular or promiscuous sex life. Working conditions, for example, sedentary work is reflected in health and leads to the appearance of a tumor.

Presumably, diseases of other organs and systems are also involved in this. With this diagnosis, men are worried about frequent, sometimes false urination. There may be persistent pain in the prostate and lumbar region. It is noticed that this is associated with a violation of sexual function, the development of impotence, constipation, and a deterioration in appetite.

Dry mouth is an unpleasant symptom. All these phenomena foreshadow an acute retention in the bladder of urine and the formation of stones. And this, in turn, entails the expansion of the veins of the bladder. The diagnosis is established after examination by a urologist, which consists in a digital examination of the rectum. In case of confirmation of the enlargement of the prostate gland, an examination with ultrasound, X-ray and laboratory examination is additionally prescribed.

Treatment of breast fibroadenoma is always prompt. Removal of fibroadenoma is indicated when the tumor size is more than 1 centimeter and progressive growth. Sectoral surgery to remove fibroadenoma is performed after confirming the diagnosis of cancer. Enucleation or exfoliation of the tumor is carried out under local or general anesthesia and lasts 20-60 minutes.

Removal of fibroadenoma helps restore all lost functions. Today, few men with prostate adenoma are subject to surgery. Because, there are reliable medicines - antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs that can significantly improve their condition.

It is enough to visit a urologist once a year, and, as a rule, conservative treatment for adenoma can alleviate the condition. Medicines help to reduce the volume of the prostate gland, expand the lumen of the urethra. Regular use of these drugs eliminates the need for surgery.

There are no specific methods of prevention, but keeping the body in excellent physical condition can prevent the appearance of fibroadenoma. Exercise, good nutrition, and lifelong sports prevent disease. Men over 40 need to undergo preventive examinations by specialists on a regular basis.

In advanced stages, complete removal of the prostate (adenomectomy) or removal of part of it (resection) is performed. This is decided on an individual basis. After removal, fibroadenoma can form again, but in a different place, and there is no connection with surgery. Performing the operation, the surgeon eliminates the consequences, and the reasons, unfortunately, are difficult to identify. There are still no exact explanations for these phenomena in science.
