Description of the medicinal letter

It is a herbaceous perennial plant belonging to the labiate family. The drop cap height does not exceed 1 meter. The stem of the plant is tetrahedral, straight with almost no leaves, pubescent.
The leaves are located opposite, their shape is ovoid-heart-shaped. Purple-red flowers are collected in a spike-shaped inflorescence. The fruit of the letter is the collected 4 oblong nuts, which are located on two cups.
The plant has a peculiar smell, salty-bitter taste. The initial blooms for a long time: from June to September. Fruit ripening lasts a month, namely from August to September.
The initial letter is very common in the European part of the CIS, in the Tien Shan, Pamirs and in the Caucasus. Loamy, slightly acidic soil of coniferous and mixed forests is suitable for it. Also, the letter is found in meadows, near roads, between thickets and bushes.
Useful properties of a drop cap
For medicinal properties, the herb, roots and rhizomes of the drop cap are used. The plant has anti-inflammatory, expectorant, choleretic properties. The preparations made from the drop cap have a soothing, analgesic, and pressure-reducing effect. The initial letter normalizes metabolism in the body, stabilizes digestion and improves blood circulation.
In the presence of signs of nervous excitability, epilepsy, constipation, dizziness and migraine, teas and decoctions from the drop cap are used. Outwardly, the letter is used to wash ulcers, wounds, with chronic rhinitis and sinusitis.
In homeopathy, the letter is used as a tonic for asthma and weakness.
The use of a drop cap in traditional medicine
The initial letter is used in folk medicine for bronchitis, hemorrhoids, cystitis, migraines, epilepsy and many other diseases. This herb has astringent and wound healing properties.
Preparations from the roots and rhizomes of the plant are used as an emetic and laxative. A decoction of the roots of the drop cap is used for colitis, poor appetite, liver or kidney disease, gastritis and nervous diseases
An infusion prepared on the basis of leaves, roots or rhizomes of a plant helps to cure sciatica, gout, cystitis and neuroses.
Preparations from the aerial part of the plant are used as an antihypertensive, calming nervous tension, normalizing the metabolism of an agent for atherosclerosis, kidney disease and hypertension.
The initial cap has hemostatic properties, so it helps with bleeding of the lungs and uterine bleeding.
Treatment with a medicinal letter

For medicinal purposes, collect the herb, leaves, roots and rhizomes of the initial cap. Infusions and decoctions from this plant are used for diseases such as swelling, rheumatism, hysteria, bronchitis and in the case of many other diseases. Outwardly, preparations from the drop cap are used for rheumatism, for washing wounds, for convulsions.
Herb tea drop caps. Tea is prepared quickly and easily. To do this, take 1 heaped teaspoon of the herb of the plant and pour 250 ml of boiling water over it, then leave it to infuse for a quarter of an hour. Having filtered the finished tea, it is used for rinsing or ingestion (if there is diarrhea or other intestinal disorders). Depending on the need, you can take a cup 1-3 times daily. For some patients with asthma or with profuse mucous phlegm, this tea is prescribed by doctors.
Infusion of herbs (leaves) drop caps. To prepare it, you will need 1 tablespoon of raw materials, which must be poured with one glass of boiling water and left to infuse for 2 hours. After straining, the product is taken 4 times every day before meals, 1-2 tablespoons. This infusion lowers blood pressure, soothes. It is also used as an expectorant.
A decoction of the roots of the drop cap. We take 20 grams of dry roots and fill them with a glass of boiling water, put on fire for 20 minutes. Having strained the finished broth, it is taken in a tablespoon three times a day as a laxative.
Infusion of the roots and leaves of the drop cap. To prepare it, you need to take half a tablespoon of leaves and the same amount of drop cap roots and pour 200 ml of boiled water over them. After insisting 2 hours in a cold place, strain the composition. You need to take such an infusion 3-4 times a day. One-time intake - 1 tablespoon of medicine. This infusion has a diuretic and choleretic effect.
Infusion of herb letters. We take 2 tablespoons of herbs, pour a glass of boiling water and put on low heat for 5 minutes, after which we insist for 20 minutes and filter. Then add 40 grams of port to the infusion. The product should be consumed 70 ml three times a day before meals. This infusion helps with pulmonary bleeding.
Tincture of flowers of a drop cap. Take a glass jar and cover one third with dried flowers (crushed). Pour vodka on top up to the neck of the can. Place in a dark but warm place for 14 days, then strain. They use the remedy for high blood pressure, fainting and nervous system disorders. It is necessary to take 20-30 drops, diluted with a small amount of water.
Contraindications to the use of a drop cap
Pregnant women are strictly prohibited from using a drop cap. And the rest can use this plant, but only carefully! It is necessary to observe the dosage of admission, in no case do not exceed the dose!
