Flatulence from time to time becomes a problem for every person. Unpleasant and even painful sensations in the intestines often become chronic and can pretty much exhaust even the healthiest and most persistent people.

In order not to tolerate bloating, you need to feel free to your problem and find a solution. Many people use folk methods that require independent preparation, but work in a natural way. Most prefer pharmaceuticals that work quickly and are available in pharmacies even at night.

Treatment of flatulence with dill or carrot seeds

Carrots and dill have become known among herbalists since the days of domestication as beneficial plants for the intestines. The addition of their seeds and herbs to food contributes to its better assimilation by improving the quality of the gastrointestinal tract: more gastric juice and bile are secreted, peristalsis is stimulated, spasms of the intestinal muscles are relieved, and blood vessels are dilated, thereby accelerating the absorption of nutrients and excretion of metabolic products.

Dill seeds have long been used in the treatment of flatulence and intestinal colic in babies - this remedy is prescribed even to very young children.

In order to make a remedy at home, you need to purchase dill seeds, and then follow the recipe:

  • The main proportion is a tablespoon of seeds per 250 ml (glass) of boiling water.
  • The seeds can be crushed to speed up the release of nutrients into the water. In this case, the crushed seed is poured with boiling water and left for only 20 minutes in a sealed container. The cooled infusion is filtered with gauze to remove the remnants of seeds.
  • Some healers say that when crushed and crushed, the beneficial contents of the seeds are oxidized and lose their properties, so you need to brew dill water from whole seeds. Then the infusion time increases to 1 or even 2 hours, and it is desirable to prepare the solution in a thermos in order to accelerate the extraction of active substances.

  • The filtered solution can be stored in the refrigerator, but it is better to choose wooden, earthenware or glass dishes for it. But before using the remedy, the infusion must be heated to 20-30 ° C, since cold liquid can aggravate intestinal irritation and the effect of dill water will be incomplete.
  • Mode and dosage of use: children under 3 years old - 1 tsp. before meals three times a day, up to 14 years old - 1 tbsp. l. three times a day, adults - 1 glass a day, divided into three doses (80-100 ml each) before meals.

Carrot seeds

Carrot seeds are cooked differently. To begin with, they are dried. You can do this in sunny weather during the warm season, keeping them in the light for 5-6 hours. If this time is not available or the weather is inclement, the oven will help - at the minimum heating, the seeds are laid out on a baking sheet in a thin layer for about 5 minutes. The dried seeds must be ground in a coffee grinder.

The resulting powder is used at the first sign of bloating. A teaspoon of ground carrot seeds is washed down with water, with an increase in flatulence, after half an hour the reception is repeated, and so on up to 3-4 receptions.

Fresh dill

In addition to dill seeds, its green shoots are also useful for flatulence. If you add dill daily to fresh salads, side dishes and baked goods, you can get rid of chronic flatulence and significantly improve digestion.

The convenience of dill herb is in its prevalence, because it can be found in every market and in every vegetable garden. Sudden bouts of flatulence are successfully stopped by simply chewing on a fresh twig of this plant. In the absence of dill seeds, the aforementioned recipe for dill water can be prepared on the basis of finely chopped grass, and the resulting infusion can be used according to the same regimen.

In the presence of dill extract, a similar medicine is easily and quickly prepared in a ratio of 1: 1000 (1 ml of extract per liter of water).

Melissa (lemon mint) for flatulence

Often, mild flatulence is aggravated by intestinal cramps and colic. This is where the lemon mint, known as lemon balm, comes in handy. In medicine, its leaves are used, which are rich in essential oil, which has a lemon scent, thanks to which the plant received a trivial name.

Lemon balm essential oil can relieve spasms and have a mild sedative, or hypnotic, effect. This greatly helps in the fight against flatulence, especially since, in addition to oil, lemon balm leaves also contain a large amount of tannins and bitterness, which increase appetite, the secretion of digestive juices and peristalsis.

To prepare a healing drink from lemon balm for flatulence, you need:

  • Take dried lemon mint leaves, pour 4 tablespoons into a dish suitable for a steam bath;
  • Pour 300 ml of boiling water into it and put on a steam bath, stand for about 20 minutes;
  • Pour the resulting broth through cheesecloth into an opaque non-metallic vessel and leave to cool in a dark place.

Take the broth three times a day, 20 minutes before or one hour after a meal, one tablespoon.

The best remedy for flatulence

When flatulence becomes a serious problem that worries the patient almost daily, disposable or short-term remedies are no longer relevant.

In this case, you need to use methods of long-term and permanent action, solving the problem causing flatulence. One of these methods - simple and reliable, will help in most cases of chronic flatulence:

In the morning, one hour before meals (on an empty stomach), you need to eat (without chewing, wash down) a clove of garlic weighing about 3-5 g and wash it down with cool water. No more tricks and procedures. The course of using the drug is 10 days. For ten days of using this remedy, flatulence disappears for a long time, and thanks to preventive repetitions of the course every six months, possible chances of the disease returning can be prevented.

For those who do not like the garlic aroma, it is worth mentioning that when you consume just one clove on an empty stomach, washed down with cold water, an unpleasant smell does not appear at all!

Regular and painful bloating of the intestines is a consequence of the vital activity of pathogenic microorganisms and parasites. If flatulence is a symptom of parasitosis or bacterial infection, you need to eliminate its cause with a specialized remedy.

When it is not possible to find out exactly which creatures provoke gas formation in the intestines, they use a proven folk remedy - an infusion of wormwood. It inhibits the development of a very wide range of parasites and also destroys bacteria.

It's pretty simple to prepare it:

  • Take 1 tbsp. l. dried wormwood, pour a glass of boiling water and set aside for 12 hours in a dark place;
  • The present solution is filtered through cheesecloth into a convenient container.
  • Then the resulting medicine is divided into three parts, so that three times a day to take 100 g of wormwood infusion;
  • The course of taking wormwood is one week.

The wormwood infusion has one drawback: the high bitterness of the solution. To forget about it after using the product, try drinking it with juice or seizing the pulp of citrus fruits. In addition, pregnancy and anemia are included in the list of contraindications for this herb.

Cumin with flatulence

Another plant whose properties help fight flatulence is caraway. This popular spice preserves nutrients that are beneficial to the digestive system in various forms. They help to relax the musculature of the intestinal walls and stop the work of putrefactive bacteria. With flatulence, cumin is taken as a familiar food supplement, in the form of seeds, oil or infusion.

It is recommended to add cumin in food for problems such as intestinal atony, inhibited bile secretion and flatulence. If this spoils the taste of your favorite dishes, you can take cumin oil 5 times a day, three drops per sugar cube.

An infusion is prepared from caraway seeds: two tablespoons are poured into a glass of water and infused for a quarter of an hour. Then the solution is filtered and cooled. Application regimen: 70 ml of infusion 2-3 times a day. You can store it in the refrigerator for no more than two days.

Treatment of flatulence with activated carbon

Activated carbon, known for its absorbent properties, also helps with flatulence. The beneficial effect of activated carbon is due to the addition of toxicants that cause fermentation processes and stimulate the development of putrefactive bacteria. The uniqueness of the drug is in an absolutely safe way of excreting the substances collected by it through the natural intestinal evacuation system.

Coal is also convenient in that it has practically no contraindications, as well as side effects. Getting rid of flatulence can be achieved even after taking only two or three tablets, although the optimal dose is calculated by weight and is 1 ton for every 10 kg. On the other hand, if you take more at once, most likely nothing bad will happen. In the worst case, defecation may be inhibited (constipation), which disappears after a few hours, and the patient's normal regime is restored in a couple of days.

Activated charcoal is considered outdated by many doctors. Of its high-quality modern analogues for getting rid of flatulence, the drug Smecta (the strongest sorbent) can be distinguished.

With flatulence, the dosage of smecta is calculated according to the patient's age:

  • Adults - 3 sachets per day;
  • Children from 2 to 14 years old - 2-3 sachets per day;
  • Children from one to two years old - 2 sachets per day;
  • Infants up to one year old - 1 sachet per day.

The contents of one sachet are diluted in 100 g of water heated to 30 ° C. Babies can add smecta to their usual liquid or semi-liquid food.

If flatulence does not go away immediately, the use of smecta can be extended from 3 days to a week.

Enzymes for flatulence

Due to the wide variety of causes of flatulence (allergy to certain foods and substances, diseases of the gastrointestinal tract), in addition to specialized remedies that eliminate intestinal irritation as a symptom, enzymatic preparations are prescribed. They compensate for the lack of enzymes that occurs due to pancreatitis, constant overeating and swallowing food pieces without sufficient chewing. In fact, this is most often the cause of flatulence.

Creon (as well as analogues: mezim, festal, lycrease, pancitrate, digestal, enzistal) is a preparation of three main enzymes: protease, lipase and amylase, which are responsible for the breakdown of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. It must be taken immediately after a meal in order to have time to provide the digestive system with enzymes, until there is a shortage of them. Thanks to this, food, which is usually difficult to digest, is properly processed and absorbed, which prevents putrefactive processes accompanied by gas formation.

Espumisan for flatulence

Espumisan - a drug for the treatment of flatulence from the class of defoamers, eliminating gas bubbles in the intestines. Special enzymes break them down into microscopic particles and move them to the suction or evacuation zone. No bubbles - no flatulence. That is, it does not matter at all why flatulence arose - espumisan eliminates its consequences.

Other benefits of this drug include:

  • Complete safety for the body - the drug does not enter the bloodstream and can be used for children and pregnant women;
  • Lack of addiction and side effects with frequent use;
  • Compatible with almost all modern pharmaceuticals;
  • Fast and convenient use - the capsules can be taken without drinking water.
  • A variety of dosage forms: drops, emulsions, capsules.

The norm for using espumisan for adults is two capsules after each meal and right before bedtime.

Adults and children from 6 years of age take 2 capsules up to 4 times a day, preferably after breakfast, lunch and dinner, and immediately before going to bed.
