Causes and treatment of acute chondrosis
Acute chondrosis belongs to the category of age-related pathologies, however, the disease can develop in young people with a sedentary lifestyle.
Causes of acute chondrosis
The disease proceeds secretly until the onset of the inflammatory process, which becomes a consequence of the destruction of the parts of the spine involved in movement. Over time, the symptoms of chondrosis will certainly make themselves felt, since the process of inflammation is accompanied by pain and limitation of joint mobility. The disease is acute or chronic.
Acute chondrosis can be caused by a shift in the center of gravity, prolonged dynamic load on the spine, metabolic disorders in tissues. A typical example is a picture that is well known to many patients: a person of mature age moves heavy furniture in a posture that is not physiological. In this case, all three risk factors are evident: displacement of the center of gravity, increased physical activity and tissue nutritional disorders caused by age-related changes.
Treatment of acute chondrosis
Treatment of acute chondrosis begins with a diagnosis, which requires a specialist consultation. The goal of treatment is not only to relieve pain, but also to restore damaged areas of the spine.
All medicines for the treatment of acute chondrosis must be taken in strict accordance with the doctor's recommendations in order to avoid adverse effects of drugs on the stomach and organs of the cardiovascular system. In some cases, the drugs are recommended to be drunk after meals, while the effect on the gastric mucosa becomes more gentle, if necessary, intramuscular injections are prescribed.
A good effect is given by warming ointments, which include analgesic and anti-inflammatory components. Rubbing on the basis of bee and snake venom is beneficial, provided that the patient is not allergic to these drugs.
Treatment of acute chondrosis is also carried out using physiotherapy methods. After removing the pain syndrome, the doctor may prescribe massage, mustard plasters, which are applied to the area of inflammation, as well as vitamins containing calcium.
An active lifestyle is one of the preventive measures for acute chondrosis and recurrence of the disease. At the same time, heavy physical activity and weight lifting are contraindicated.
