China belongs to the genus of herbs in the legume family. Herbaceous plants have rhizomes and tubers. The fruit, a pod with two wings, contains angular, wedge-shaped seeds. 150 types of rank are distributed in the Northern Hemisphere, South America, Africa, the Mediterranean countries, the Far East and China.

Useful properties of rank

The rank contains ascorbic acid, carotene, flavonoids quercetin and kaempferol, protein, vitamin P, organic acids, alkaloids, leukoanthocyanins. Of the minerals in the roots and leaves, manganese, copper, iron, chromium, and aluminum are present. The herb is used in folk medicine as a softening, expectorant and anti-inflammatory agent. It transfers biologically active substances phenols and arbutin to the human body.

Application ranks

Medicinal types of ranks are used for chronic bronchitis, tracheitis, pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis. A decoction of the roots of the rank is used for acute diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and cardiovascular system, insomnia, thrombophlebitis and dyspepsia. It is used for hypovitaminosis, decreased immunity and colds.

Broth from the rank: 1/10 or 1/15 part of a teaspoon of crushed raw materials is brewed over low heat for 10 minutes in 1 glass of boiling water. Take 1 tablespoon every 2-3 hours.

With diarrhea and heart problems, they drink infusions, the recipes of which have come down to us from time immemorial.

Recipe number 1: brew 0.6-0.8 g per 200 ml of boiling water, take 1 tablespoon every 2-3 hours.

Among the people, the effective influence of the rank grass on tumors, leukocytosis, venereal diseases, infectious hepatitis has been revealed. It is used for fever, tachycardia and insomnia.

Recipe number 2: you need to take 10 g of a rank in 250 ml of boiling water, leave for 4 hours, strain, take orally a teaspoon after 2-3 hours.

Recipe number 3: 10 g of crushed roots should be poured with 200 ml of boiling water, leave for 6 hours.

Rank seeds

The bob contains two to seven seeds. They have a four-sided shape. The color of their shell is yellow-white, gray or brown. The cotyledons are yellow. Rank seeds can be of different sizes. According to its chemical composition, the seed consists of a large amount of protein, there is a small percentage of fat. There is no information on admission for medicinal purposes.

The leaves are arranged on petioles, alternate, lanceolate, with a tendril at the tip. The flowers are yellow, of the original form, similar to those of acacia, they make up one-sided racemes. Black beans are oblong in shape. Some sources contain information that the native habitat of the grass is the south of Siberia, from where it spread to the Mediterranean regions. Today, other places where the plant grows are also known: this is the territory of Europe, northern Africa, western and central Asia. Mongolia, China, North America and the Japanese Islands are also inhabited by the meadow rank.

Broad-leaved rank

The broad-leaved rank is a perennial pea, a beautiful climbing plant. It grows in the wild nature of the Crimea, the Mediterranean, in the west of Europe. This species can be excellently cultivated in the northwest of Russia. In the gardens, gardeners grow plants with white, purple and pink flowers. The broad-leaved rank has a powerful taproot that grows deep into the soil and forms multi-root adventitious roots.

Numerous, branching, wide-winged stems, clinging to the supports with leaf antennae, twist, climbing high up, and spread along the ground in the absence of support. In cultivated forms, flowers are collected in dense brushes.

Contraindications to the use of ranks

As a medicine, the rank meadow is used only in folk medicine. With judicious use, side effects are not observed, although overdose is known to cause nervous disorders.
