Anona (guanabana) - a unique fruit against cancer
Anyone who wants to improve their health, avoid the onset of cancer or support an already ill organism, it will be interesting to learn about a unique tropical fruit called anona. (other names: guanabana, graviola, sour cream apple). In some sources this word is written with two letters "n", because the fruit belongs to the Annon family. Fruit plants of this family are widespread in the Latin American jungle in Brazil, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, Argentina and the Bahamas.
There are many varieties of anona and many variants of its national names: cherimoya, atemoya, guanabana. If we compare the anona with the fruits familiar to Russia and Europe, then it is closest to the melon, although it is most often called "sour cream apple". This is not because of the taste, but because of the characteristic color of the pulp. Anona tastes like a cross between melon, banana and pineapple.
Fruits are yellow-green in color, with a thin hard skin covered with thorns. The shape is oval or heart-shaped. Sizes - from a small apple to a whopper weighing three kilograms. The inside of the fruit consists of separate segments, like the slices of an orange, but they do not separate from each other as easily. Each lobule contains one large, flat black seed. It must be remembered that the seeds of some annoni are poisonous, so only the pulp of the fruit should be eaten.
How is Anona useful?
This tropical fruit contains many beneficial substances:
- Vitamin C;
- B vitamins;
- Folic acid;
- Mineral salts of potassium, magnesium, calcium and iron;
- Phosphorus.
It is especially noteworthy that there are more B vitamins there than in any other fruit, and it is these vitamins that help prevent the development of cancerous tumors. This is why scientists are currently actively researching this fruit. We can say that real passions flare up around the Annons. Major pharmaceutical corporations are anticipating huge profits from Annona-based health food and nutritional supplements. Therefore, this fruit is not so easy to get, although it is already specially cultivated in India, China and several African countries.

How to use anona correctly?
If you are lucky enough to get hold of this unique fruit, do not rush to just peel it and eat it with pleasure, although it will be very useful. The fact is that all vitamins, as we know, are divided into two types:
- Water soluble;
- Fat-soluble.
Vitamin B, which we want to saturate our body with the help of Anona, belongs to the water-soluble vitamins. But how to increase the absorption of fat-soluble? After all, we will not eat a "sour cream apple" with butter, lard or fish oil.
There are other, nicer options:
- Slice anona fruit into wedges and eat them along with nuts - almonds, cashews, peanuts, or whatever you like. There are not only many vitamins in nuts, but also a lot of vegetable oils, which means that you will be able to extract the maximum benefit from this meal;
- Make a salad with anona and other fruits and season with ground fresh flax. Flax is not easy to get, but the effect will be very good. Flaxseed oil perfectly absorbs vitamin B contained in anona.
